The outer layer of 11 gauge steel in the body on American Security fire and theft rated NF6036E5 Gun Safe encloses 3 layers of fire insulating material along with a 1/4" steel plate door for a barrier from attacks and fire. Because of this manner of construction and the fact that it is equipped with an ESL5 Digital Electronic Lock and protected by massive hard plate means the safe has been awarded the U.L. Residential Security Container (RSC) burglary classification. This is your assurance of quality and protection. In addition, there are also 9 massive 1 1/2" thick locking bolts as well as 5 deadbolts to provide superior door security. (for a total of 14 bolts)
The American Security NF6036E5 fire rated gun safe features a 90 minute ETL verified Fire protection of 1200 degrees F for 90 minutes and is designed to maintain an interior temperature of less than 350 degrees F. Do not look for anything less than a 60 minute fire rating as most gun safes in the market are 30 minutes and not worth your time. Dual fire seals around the entire door that include a silicon seal on the door jamb and a Palusol seal on the door giving the door a snug fit for added fire protection. The Palusol seal expands up to 8 times its original thickness when exposed to heat.
The American Security NF6036E5 90 Minute Fire Rated Gun Safe with its maximum 36 total long gun capacity also has 4 pre-cut anchor holes, that, when used, add an additional level of security. There is one built-in internal AC power port for the use of optional dehumidifiers and light kits. Included are commercial grade high-security exterior hinges for additional security and full access (180-degree opening) to the elegant interior.
The American Security fire and theft rated NF6036E5 gun safe features fully adjustable interior shelves that are all upholstered in an all-velour plush gray fabric (standard feature) and the back panel features a Premium Door Organizer (PDO) for additional storage and organization. The outside of the door boasts a 5-point handle in black nickel.
